Dear Mr. Rogers,

 

I am writing to ask you to CANCEL Duke’s proposed new Cliffside Coal Plant. Emitting 6 million more tons of global warming CO2 per year, for the next 50 years, is indefensible.  There is NO EXCUSE for a new coal plant in a time of global warming.  There is NO EXCUSE for Cliffside.

You talk like you understand the seriousness of global warming, but Cliffside belies everything you say.  Duke Energy should be working for real solutions to global warming, not adding even more to the problem.
